  • Integrated converter for industrial reinforcement materials
  • European system supplier to the tyre industry
  • Market leader in the field of textile high-tenacity viscose filaments
  • Manufacturer of Viscont® - Comfort in Protection
  • ISO 9001:2008 certified
Glanzstoff Bohemia s.r.o was founded in 1921 in Lovosice under the name "Erste Böhmische Glanzstoff-Fabrik AG". At that time in the 1920s, it formed a sales alliance together with "Ersten Österreichischen Glanzstoff-Fabrik" for the textile viscose filament yarn, which was manufactured exclusively at that time. After a change-filled history, CAG-Holding took over Glanzstoff Bohemia s.r.o in the year 1998 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lovochemie. This marked the beginning of an ongoing success story following years of stagnation. After only two years of construction, it was possible to put SULFOX I into operation in the year 2000, which was the most modern air purification system of its type. Parallel to this, investments were made in modernisation of production and wastewater treatment so that today, Glanzstoff Bohemia s.r.o. is one of the most environmentally friendly viscose manufacturers worldwide. The new Sulfox II air purification system was put into operation in 2010, and the second stage of development of the in-house developed Viscont® process will begin in mid 2011.
