General |
Incorporated on 10 April 1958, Malaya Acid Works Sdn. Bhd. commenced its
manufacturing operation in the production of Sulfuric Acid in Petaling Jaya,
making it one of the earliest companies that set up a manufacturing base in
the then state capital of Selangor. In 1962, Malaya Acid Works (Alum) Sdn.
Bhd., a fully-owned subsidiary, started to produce Aluminium Sulfate and
Hydrated Lime in Petaling Jaya for potable water treatment plants throughout
Malaysia. It later expanded to produce Sodium Silicate and Potassium
Silicate. Through various phases of expansion and land acquisition, we are now strategically located in key areas of peninsular Malaysia: Prai in the northern region, Petaling Jaya and Klang in the central region and Pasir Gudang in the southern region. ISO 9001:2000 (2003) Certification In an effort to demonstrate its commitement to customers, the company undertook a drastic change in its quality management system and in 2005, Malaya Acid Works Sdn. Bhd. was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification. Upon this achievement, the company is fully geared towards its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Products: Aluminium Sulphate, Battery Acid, Oleum, Sodium Silicate, Sulphuric Acid, Formic Acid, Hydrated Lime |
