22, 2016 - Following the torching of Al Mishraq sulfur factory on
22 October, north of Al Qayarrah district, over 1,000 cases of suffocation
caused by the continued sulfur plumes have been reported. Cases are referred
to adjacent health centres for emergency intervention. Six ambulances have
been provided by the authorities and WHO.
