General | Since 2002, Orvana has successfully constructed and managed a low-cost producing gold mine (The Don Mario Lower Mineralized Zone, or LMZ), delineated and brought into production a small gold deposit (Las Tojas), and evaluated and is advancing the mining of a copper-gold-silver deposit (Upper Mineralized Zone, or UMZ) within the Don Mario district. With over 70,100 hectares of contiguous concessions in the district, exploration activities will continue given the good potential to discover more deposits. It is believed that Orvana’s activities in the district will continue through 2019 | |

News |
Start-up of the LPF mill and a sulphuric acid plant, which began in April
2011, continued through their commissioning stage, which has been slower
than planned due to initial operating issues with the sulphuric acid plant,
issues related to the delivery of supplies, and lower than planned copper
recovery. |
