Introduction 

Sandvik HT 9067 is a patented duplex stainless steel developed and adapted for use in hot concentrated sulphuric acid.  It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to sulphuric acid including when fluorides are present.  It is resistant to chlorides, pitting and crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.  The material can be easily worked and has good weldability.  Sandvik HT has very high strength as do most duplex stainless steels.

The above properties make Sandvik HT ideal for the following applications in the sulphuric acid industry:

Sandvik HT will experience accelerated corrosion if the acid contration drops below 97% acid.
