News | December 11, 2006 - TNK-BP announced today successful completion of a major upgrade project at the Ryazan oil refining company (RNPK) with the inauguration of the alkylation and isomerization units. A comprehensive modernization programme at the Ryazan refinery originally began in 2000. Its major elements include commissioning of the fluid catalytic cracker; vacuum gasoil (VGO) hydrotreater; a hydrogen unit; sulphuric acid units; and the alkylation and isomerization units. The project positions the Ryazan refinery among the best in Russia. The benefits achieved relate to improved yields of higher value products and their better quality as well as significant environmental improvements. |
