Introduction

Begg, Cousland's 'BECOIL' demisters are knitted wire separators of the impingement type which will remove over 5 microns by impaction.
These can be made in many metal and plastic materials.  Begg, Cousland's 'BECONE' coalescers have a high efficiency on mists >2 microns. Usually used in conjunction with a 'BECOIL' mist eliminator the fine fibres of the 'BECONE' coalescer intercept the finer mists coalescing them into droplets. These either drain or are re-entrained to be collected by the 'BECOIL' mist eliminator as the gas continues its upward flow.
